FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We frequently get asked the same questions about aromatherapy and essential oils and so we have compiled this set of questions with the answers for you to refer to. Are your essential oils natural?
Yes, all the essential oils are totally natural and made from pure plant extracts.

What is the difference between aromatherapy and essential oils?
Aromatherapy is the overall name for treatments given using essential oils.

Why are there so many differently priced oils available from different suppliers and how do I know which supplier to choose?
Because the oil can be extracted from different parts of the plant. For example Lavender can be extracted from just the tips or from the tips and part of the branches etc. This affects the price of the oil but it is still made from 100% natural plant. Our oils are good quality at an affordable price and as such sell well. It is also important to select a supplier who can offer you good displays and comprehensive information because these are products where your customer will want to be properly informed. 

What if I don't feel like I know anything about aromatherapy or essential oils but I know I have a market for them?
At Regent House we can offer you the following: an information sheet with EVERY single oil you buy to pass on to your customer (although you can read it as well of course!). This sheet details the origin, history and uses for the oil as well as any warnings. We can also offer you easy reference information on which oils are best for which conditions as well as a quick guide to the oils to display in your shop. These are also available to download on our web site. And if you still feel nervous then you can be assured that you can always ring us on 01142423352 and ask any questions you want.

Where do the essential oils come from?
All over the world .. each oil has its origin details on the information sheet and we can always tell you where the latest oil we purchased comes from. Occasionally we may change the origin of a particular oil if the country we have been buying from is affected by adverse weather conditions, drought, floods, war etc which can all affect the prices.  

Can your essential oils be used neat on the skin?
Lavender, Tea Tree and Manuka are the only essential oils which its possible to use in an undiluted form but all the others need to be diluted in either a base oil or a cream.

Can you use essential oils when you are pregnant?
Some essential oils can be dangerous to use during preganancy so its very important to read the information sheets provided with each oil and to check before using them. 

Are your essential oils organic?
No, organic oils are available on the market but tend to be much more expensive.
