Regent House have recently participated in their first ever international show in Madrid. The show is a large one held at the Feria Madrid. It appeals to the whole gift industry and Regent House took a stand there in Pavillion 10.  As a UK manufacturer who still actually make over 80% of their product range they are hoping that they can branch out into more international markets. They have a philosophy of sourcing as much as possible in the UK and employing as many local staff as possible to try and help the surrounding areas. They have also recently had a student from ISPO the organization who specialises in helping local businesses to find good students to help them develop an export market. Regent House manufacture most of their product ranges in their warehouse in Sheffield employing local staff in a suburb called Burngreave. Like many inner city areas Burngreave has over the past few decades been an area in need of redevelopment and investment. Economic deprivation and a range of social issues are reflected in the fact that Burngreave is ranked in the top 1% most deprived wards in the UK. In 2007 Regent House won two local awards for businesses .. the Burngreave Manufacturing Award and the Burngreave Marketing Award.
The management at Regent House are very committed to employing as many people as they can and manufacturing as much as they can in the UK.

During the last two years Regent House have increased the portfolio of products which are made in the UK and decreased the lines which are bought elsewhere. For example the incense range is now designed, fragranced and packaged in the UK and the sales have increase substantially during the last 10 months since it was launched. Regent House say that their customers love the styles and quality of the packaging. The scents are much more varied and so they will pay the additional price. Another of the most successful product ranges is simmering granules which are a natural salt based product. Regent House employ three members of staff whose main job is producing the 150 different scents which are available in this product line. New scents for 2009 include Divinity, Guardian Angel, Darling and Fairy Dust (to name but a few!!)
Other new products in the pipeline are a great range of new relaxation CD gift sets, aromatherapy gift sets, deluxe burner sets and reed diffusers.


In the UK Regent House supply gift shops, chemists, florists, department stores and of course garden centres. The garden centre market has grown during the last year and many of the product lines sell really well in garden centres. Regent House have also brought out a range of new floor standing displays and feel that by offering instant merchandisers with exciting and affordable products it will help the retailer to increase their sales. Regent House feels that they can offer something new and different.
